During his tenure at CTV News Ottawa, Richardson covered a wide range of significant events, including the 2022 Freedom Convoy protests, the 2022 derecho storm, the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2018 Ottawa tornado, and more. His previous experiences as the Los Angeles Bureau Chief and his coverage of international events added depth and perspective to his reporting.
