A drunk German tourist caused a total of 350,000 euros in damage with a stolen excavator on the popular party island of Mallorca. This was reported by the “Mallorca Magazine”. The 26-year-old Ballermann holidaymaker had gained unauthorized access to a quarry near El Arenal, the well-known party district of Palma.
According to his own statements, he only wanted to go for a “little joyride”, but the trip ended in disaster, as “derwesten.de” reports. The young man’s excursion ended at the entrance and exit ramp of the quarry when he tipped over with the construction vehicle and injured his arms and head.
After the accident, the bloodied man sought help from a local resident, who immediately alerted the police, reported the “Mallorca Magazine”. The officers found the excavator overturned and damaged in the quarry.
The owners of the construction company confirmed to the police that the key was not in the excavator. The 26-year-old German was arrested and will have to face charges of theft and damage to property.
