Emmanuel Clase, known as the best closer in baseball, had a tough night during Game 4 of the American League Championship Series. Despite only allowing two home runs in the regular season with an impressive 0.61 ERA, Clase gave up two crucial home runs to Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton in a short span of five pitches. This led to a blown save opportunity for the Cleveland Guardians.

However, the Guardians managed to come back and win the game in a miraculous fashion, saving themselves from falling into a 3-0 series hole. Even though Clase had a rough night, he didn’t let it define him. In fact, he took to Instagram after the game to showcase his accomplishments, including his All-Star rings, American League Reliever of the Year Award from last year, and his 2023 All-MLB plaque.

Clase’s confidence remains unwavering despite his struggles in the postseason. While he only allowed five earned runs in the regular season, he has already given up six in the playoffs. The Guardians were on the brink of defeat, but Jhonkensy Noel and David Fry came through with clutch home runs to secure the win.

Looking ahead, Game 4 will take place in Cleveland, giving the Guardians an opportunity to even the series at two games apiece and potentially force a Game 6 back in the Bronx. Clase and the rest of the team will be looking to bounce back from their shaky performance and continue their journey towards the World Series.
