The Georgia Bulldogs are gearing up to face the Texas Longhorns in a crucial SEC matchup that could impact their College Football Playoff prospects. However, the Bulldogs will be missing a key member of their team – Uga XI, the beloved mascot.

Owner Charles Seiler revealed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Uga XI, also known as “Boom,” will not be traveling to Austin for the game as it is too far of a journey for the young and energetic bulldog. Seiler explained that Uga XI has never been on a plane or a bus before and is still very playful and rambunctious.

Despite speculation that Uga XI’s absence may be related to the incident between his father and Bevo, the Longhorns’ mascot, at the Sugar Bowl in 2019, Seiler denied those claims. He simply stated that the long trip and the nature of the game were not suitable for Uga XI at this time.

With Texas holding the top spot in the nation and Georgia looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Alabama, the matchup between the two teams is highly anticipated. Georgia will need to put up a strong performance to keep their Playoff hopes alive.
