Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter, Chelsea Belle O’Donnell, has been arrested for child neglect and drug possession. Chelsea, who is 27 years old, is facing several felony charges, including possession of methamphetamine, narcotic drugs, drug paraphernalia, bail jumping, and obstructing an officer. Court documents from the Wisconsin Supreme Court also reveal that Chelsea was charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, drug possession of THC and illegally obtained prescriptions, disorderly conduct, and domestic abuse.
Chelsea is set to appear in court on November 7th. Rosie O’Donnell, who is a mother of four, welcomed her son Atlas in October 2023, daughter Avery Lynn in February 2022, Riley in January 2021, and Skylar Rose in December 2018. This incident comes after Chelsea had been estranged from her mother in the past.
Rosie and Chelsea have had a rocky relationship over the years. In 2018, Rosie opened up about their struggles on “The Talk,” expressing how their public troubles had tested their relationship but ultimately made it stronger as they were able to forgive each other. Despite their ups and downs, they seem to have reconciled.
Rosie O’Donnell has four other children in addition to Chelsea, named Parker, Blake, Vivienne, and Dakota. The relationship between Rosie and Chelsea has been tumultuous, with Chelsea previously going missing in 2015, only to be found a week later and moving to Wisconsin to live with her birth mother, Deanna Micoley.
In 2017, Rosie accused Chelsea of capitalizing on the suicide of her ex-wife Michelle Rounds, which strained their relationship further. Chelsea, who is Rosie’s adopted daughter with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, has had her fair share of difficulties growing up and trying to navigate her relationship with her famous mother.
Despite their troubled past, Chelsea expressed a desire to make amends with her mom in an interview with Inside Edition in the past. Their journey to reconciliation has been filled with challenges, but they seem to be working towards rebuilding their relationship.
Rosie O’Donnell and Chelsea’s story is a reminder of the complexities that can exist within a mother-daughter relationship, especially in the spotlight. As they continue to navigate their bond, their story serves as a lesson in forgiveness, resilience, and the enduring love between a parent and child.
