Police in Rhode Island recently released bodycam footage of the arrest of Jacqueline Nunez, the owner of the house featured in the horror movie “The Conjuring,” for alleged DUI. The incident occurred on Monday night, just after 9 p.m., when Burrillville Police observed a white Lexus driving recklessly.

The police officers identified Nunez as the driver of the vehicle and began to chase her through several streets in town before she eventually stopped. The bodycam footage shows officers instructing Nunez to show her hands as they approached her car. According to the police report obtained by WJAR, officers detected a strong smell of alcohol on Nunez’s breath and noticed that her eyes were bloodshot and glassy.

During the sobriety test, Nunez appeared uncooperative and even stated, “You’re boring me, ok, I’m following your finger.” She seemed confident in her ability to pass the test and insisted that she had only had “a couple drinks.” Nunez also mentioned that she lived in the conjuring house while questioning why she was being handcuffed for drinking a few manhattans.

Despite Nunez’s demeanor during the arrest, she was issued a citation for DUI, reckless driving, and other traffic violations. It was noted that she was wearing a sweatshirt with the words “conjuring house” on it and was seen laughing during the field sobriety tests.

The release of the bodycam footage has sparked discussions about the consequences of driving under the influence and the importance of following police instructions during such situations. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of drunk driving and the legal repercussions that can follow. It is essential for individuals to prioritize safety and responsibility when consuming alcohol to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Fox News Digital attempted to contact the Burrillville Police Department for further information but did not receive an immediate response. The case highlights the need for awareness and caution when operating a vehicle, especially after consuming alcohol, to ensure the safety of oneself and others on the road.
