Diezel Taylor, a junior at Northeastern, played a key role by throwing four touchdown passes, leading the Jets to a 41-0 win. This marked the third consecutive season that the Jets secured a playoff victory. Senior Garrett Chadwell stood out by catching three touchdown passes, while junior Carter Spriggs and Cody Houseman also contributed with impressive plays. With this victory, Northeastern’s overall record improved to 7-4.

Looking ahead, the Jets, seeded eighth, are set to face off against Coldwater, the number one seed with a 10-1 record, in the upcoming second-round game. It will be an exciting matchup for fans to watch.

Urbana emerged victorious in their playoff game against Taylor, finishing the season with a record of 7-4. Greeneview also secured a win over Graham, with Eli Walker shining in the second half by scoring two touchdowns. The Rams, with a perfect 11-0 record, will face Lima Bath in the next round, while Graham finished the season with a 3-8 record.

West Liberty-Salem’s Josh Wilcoxon had a standout performance, rushing for 163 yards and scoring two touchdowns in their victory over Arcanum. The Tigers extended their winning streak to eight games and improved their overall record to 10-1. They are now preparing to host Miami East in the next round of the playoffs.
