Massachusetts GOP Criticizes Liberal Leaders for Child Rape Accusations by ICE Arrested Illegal Immigrants

The Massachusetts GOP (MassGOP) recently criticized Democrats Gov. Maura Healey and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu after U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrests of three illegal immigrants on child rape charges. Healey and Wu have been vocal about their opposition to President-elect Donald Trump’s plans for mass deportations of illegal immigrants.

Healey had vowed that her state police would not cooperate with the expected mass deportation effort by the incoming Trump administration, emphasizing that she would use all available tools to protect residents in the state. Similarly, Wu stated that her city would not cooperate with the looming mass deportation operation despite the release of illegal immigrants with criminal charges back onto the streets.

ICE announced the arrests of two illegal immigrants charged with forcibly raping children in Massachusetts and the arrest of a third individual who was convicted of raping a child in Brazil. MassGOP Chair Amy Carnevale criticized Healey and Wu for prioritizing political appeasement over the safety of residents, expressing concern over allowing individuals charged with serious crimes to roam free due to the lack of cooperation with ICE.

The suspects arrested by ICE were identified as Mynor Stiven De Paz-Munoz of Guatemala, Billy Erney Buitrago-Bustos of Colombia, and Alexandre Romao De Oliveira of Brazil. Despite efforts by ICE to detain these individuals, loopholes and lack of cooperation have led to their release back into the community.

In response to the arrests, Healey’s office stated that individuals who commit violent crimes should be deported as part of immigration enforcement. Wu’s office did not provide a comment on the matter.

The Massachusetts GOP has urged the Democratic supermajority in the legislature to prioritize public safety and pass legislation to address loopholes that have facilitated the release of illegal immigrants accused of crimes on bail rather than honoring federal immigration detainers. The party stressed the importance of putting political posturing aside in addressing public safety risks.

The issue of immigration enforcement extends beyond Massachusetts, as House Republicans have raised concerns about the U.S. losing track of thousands of unaccounted migrant children and the vetting process that allowed minors to be sent to gang members and inappropriate locations.

As the debate over immigration enforcement continues, it is crucial for state and local leaders to work with federal authorities to ensure public safety and address the challenges posed by illegal immigration. Collaboration and effective policies are essential in protecting communities and upholding the rule of law.
