Saturday’s UFC Fight Night co-main occasion between featherweights Jeremy Stephens and Drakkar Klose is away because of an undisclosed injury to Klose, the advertising announced.
Sources told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani the Klose’s harm was the consequence of Stephens pushing him throughout their weigh-in on Friday.
Stephens (28-18, 1 NC), a continuing featherweight competition, is winless in his previous five conflicts. The 34-year-old San Diego resident hasn’t fought as a May 2020 reduction to Calvin Kattar.
Klose (11-2-1) has won a few of the previous four bouts. The 33-year-old Arizona resident has been coming from a knockout loss to Beneil Dariush in UFC 248 on March 7, 2020.
Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card will be headlined with a pivotal middleweight battle between former winner Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum.
