Gov. Phil Murphy on Monday stated New Jersey will raise its indoor mask mandate for individuals vaccinated against COVID-19 beginning on Friday. Also on Friday, the state is lifting the requirement for maintaining 6 feet of social space at all indoor and outdoor businesses, like restaurants, retail stores, health spas, casinos, and stadiums.
New Jersey was an outlier, together with neighboring Delaware, New York and Pennsylvania aligning with the CDC shortly after its advice came out.
The nation’s vaccination rates have been rising, with Murphy pledging to fully inoculate 70 percent of the population by June 30.
The Jets and Giants are co-owners of the scene, which seats roughly 80,000.
