Race 1 – 12.25PM TAB HIGHWAY PLATE (1500 MEETERS)
11. Shen Gui must only maintain his form from the last start in order to finish. In Highway company, the six-year-old finished second to Banju four week ago. We have seen the amazing feats of Banju since then, when he wiped out a Highway field by five yards. Lou Mary, a Scone trainer, has clearly gotten the best from the son of All Too Hard. Chad Schofield has other options thanks to this galloper’s perfect draw. 13. Majestic Wings, a mare with a strong finish, is well-suited for this race after her Tamworth win. 3. Before racing in a BM72 at Rosehill, Royal Exit won his two first starts for Mark Schmetzer. Given the slow pace, he was not in the hunt.

Race 2 – 1PM FUJITSU GENERAL CANONBURY STAKES (1100 METRES).
Is James McDonald’s booking for 4. The Great Barrier Reef is the best place to learn everything you need. 8. Zambezi River finished second in the Breeders Plate. McDonald’s has however taken the ride on this unraced colt. With debut selling for $1.4 million, there are high expectations. Although that is not a guarantee of talent, Great Barrier Reef showed a lot of class in his trials. Although Zambezi River was the fastest home in the Breeders’ Plate, he was not able to match Sejardan. Although the overall time was alarming, the subsequent runs by Emperor (third) or Hard To Say (4th) did little to change the perception of the race’s depth, even considering the fact that Sejardan won the Golden Gift.

Race 3 – 1.35PM WIDDEN Stakes (1100 MMETRES)
1. Ebhaar had an easy time at Caulfield on her debut, but she quickly recovered and was able to fight off Boldinho. Boldinho looked like the winner, but she was still soft on the line. Boldinho finished a disappointing fourth in Inglis Nursery. Ebhaar was back at the trial after clocking the fastest 792m heat, despite appearing to be in fifth gear all the time. We’re already seeing the best of the two-year olds this season. 6. Pantonario was a spectacle at the Gimcrack. She held third place, just ahead of Fireburn and 8. Revolutionary Miss pulled her in four weeks back on the Kensington track. She draws to locate the fence over Rosehill 1100m.

Race 4 – 2.10PM CHANDON HANDICAP (1500 METRES).
1. Narvaez will move across the draw to the front, and he sets himself up perfectly in this. He is the horse to beat on a dry Rosehill track with Tim Clark in his saddle. The Flemington first-up sent the gelding around for $41 and, despite being deep through from the wide draw throughout, he came back late to take third. 8. Although Deel With Me’s seventh-place finish might not have been very impressive, Titanium Power made it impossible to keep the pace up front. Deel with Me was only able to warm up over 1300m, sprinting home in the final 200m. His 11.61 second time was the fastest for the entire meeting.

Race 5 – 2.45PM (MIDWAY HANDICAP) (1300 METRES).
4. Military Expert will face a difficult draw. However, the three-year old has the gate speed to enter the race. Tommy Berry will know that he is on the best horse. At least, on potential. Two group placings were achieved by the colt last preparation. This was also his first race campaign. He started with a second to King of Sparta on debut. Military Expert finished 1.5 lengths behind Home Affairs in his latest trial, and remained under a tight hold. 7. Ashim was a fourth place finisher in Australia’s first race. He finished behind Tycoonist and Papal Warrior. Ashim then started hard in the market in two Midways. He has been successful in his trials and was completely ignored by the market at the beginning.

Race 6 – 3.20PM SWEEPES HANDICAP (2000 MMETRES)
7. Casino Kid enjoyed the 1800m run, winning over Zegalo and Niffler. Jan Bowen, his trainer, praised Casino Kid’s strength through the line and pushed him further to 2000m. Reece Jones stays with the four-year old and doesn’t expect the apprentice not to get confused. Let Casino Kid discover his feet and balance up in midfield, or worse, before letting him go. He is confident he can run back-to-back with a race that has limited winning chances. 2. Crystal Pegasus finished strongly at 1500m, just behind Monegal. This set him up for the preparation.
3. Flambeur is determined to make a big improvement on the lackluster form he’s shown in Australia so far.

Race 7 – 4PMXXXXEXPRESSWAY STAKES (1200 MEETRES)
Three-year-old gun 6. Anamoe’s autumn starts over 1200m. This makes him vulnerable in the context of opening a thin odds-on favourite. Anamoe would not be here given all the options James Cummings has, however, if he wasn’t confident that his colt is sharp enough to handle them. Although he wasn’t at his best, he beat In The Congo’s Golden Rose winner in the same trip. He also managed to overcome a minor setback. Although there are some questions for Anamoe, we are talking about a horse who was denied the Cox Plate, Caulfield Guineas, and Golden Rose treble. 8. Overpass’s advantage over Anamoe, a three-year-old, is that he is a sprinter.

Race 8 at 4.40PM NEDWHISKYHANDICAP (1500 MTE)
4. Yiyi was the fastest final 200m split in the meeting. This is marginally more than Lackeen who came out to frank that form. Yiyi had the right to sprint home considering how slow 5. Kingsheir was the first to finish, but it was an encouraging return. James McDonald’s rides and Yiyi mappings for the box seat, from the inside draw, were just as important as the three weeks between runs. Canasta took him to the straight. He was once thought to be a better wet-tracker. However, his wins at the back end last campaign proved otherwise. Canasta is exactly what you see. In his four previous starts, he has not been beaten by more than one length. Josh Parr will be chasing his rivals now that he isn’t as fit as the back-up.

Race 9 – 5.20PM ROSEHILL BOWING CLUB HANDICAP (1200 MEETRES)
6. Since Rule of Law was gelded and then transferred to Bjorn, Baker, Rule Of Law has never been beaten. He’s won three straight sprint races and although he’ll soon find his level, the sprinter looks ready to take the next step in the BM88 company. James McDonald pilots Rule of Law this time, and should not have any difficulty holding the front from an inside draw. He can’t see his rivals in this pushing on early to make it work. Stablemate
1. Inanup is a recent recruit to the Baker yard. Although he is only eight years old, don’t expect any new heights. However, if he can produce anything close to his best, he would be a great addition to the Baker yard. He knows his maps well and has tested well.

Race 10 – 6PM PRECISE HANDICAP (1400 MTE)
6. Van Giz was second to The Bopper in December and then finished third behind Dragonstone. Snapdancer won the Magic Millions mares competition. She was then shuffled back to running and found the line to be just short of four lengths. It was a good company, and she was jumping between 1000m and 1300m. Bjorn Baker, a trainer, was impressed by her strength and decided to take the daughter of Written Tycoon for a run over 1400m. 2. Ulysses is an extremely capable galloper and thought he did enough first up over 1200m to be recommended in this. He also managed to do 1400m second up from a perfect draw.
