The Woolpack in Emmerdale has been purchased by Ryan Stocks (James Moore), and Charity Dingle, (Emma Atkins).
After Chas (Lucy Pargeter), Marlon (Mark Charnock), and Al’s (Michael Wildman), decision to auction the failing pub, the Dingle clan arrived at the auction house tonight.
Bids were received from all corners of the globe as things started to move forward.
After an online auction, Al and Cain (Jeff Hordley), tried to outdo each other with internet offers, the auction ended.
Faith (Sally Dexter), then, informed the family that the new owner was waiting in the village.
Chas, Marlon and Paddy (Dominic Brunt), all returned home to assume that Kim (Claire King), was the new owner. But they were wrong.
While the family processes the news that Charity and Ryan have purchased the pub (oh and Mack is the new tenant, don’t forget about that), James Moore has been talking about how he felt when he discovered the life-changing news:
“I was thrilled to hear Ryan would become the new owner of the pub. This is a huge step for Ryan as a character, especially after he lost his mother. It also cements his place in Emmerdale’s history. Twitter has been full of speculation, and some people have guessed right! I look forward to the reaction of the audience.
“I believe Ryan might want to modernize the Woolpack and give the pub a more youthful feel. We know that Ryan is an expert on computers and I believe he will come up with great ideas to promote the pub via social media. I’m excited to see what changes the pub will undergo.
James says that Ryan plans to make some major changes in the pub.
“I believe the pub will continue to operate as usual, but Ryan would have great ideas for changing the atmosphere and energy of the pub and adding a modern touch.
Ryan is a tech expert and is now going to take on his new role.
“I believe Ryan is taking over more behind-the scenes management in the woolpack, but I imagine that he might be able to come out and pour a pint occasionally!
“It will be great filming in the new pub. There is an electrifying buzz when everyone is there together. It’s been a while since I’ve done a scene at the Woolpack, so it’s going be exciting to go back.
Marlon was a great team member at Woolpack. I loved him as a friend, and it is safe to say that he is an integral part of the pub.” James says, as he talks about the history of the legendary boozer.
“I can’t picture the place without him. So I hope he is involved with the upcoming stories with Charity and me.
“It is an honor to be involved in such an important part of Emmerdale’s history!”
