Slight improvement in gas stations. Monday October 17, 2022, following a meeting between the head of government, Elisabeth Borne, and the ministers, the Minister for Energy Transition Agnès Pannier-Runacher announced that only 28.1% of service stations were now in difficulty, against more than 30% the day before. The situation has improved significantly, particularly in Hauts-de-France, initially one of the regions most affected by fuel shortages.
At the microphone of RTL, Agnès Pannier-Runacher said: “Concretely this is what has been done in Hauts-de-France, that is to say that we call the service stations which are in difficulty, we make sure that they have links with the carriers and their usual suppliers, we check that the slots are compatible with the deposits (…) We are doing everything we can to improve this situation on the eve of the holidays of All Saints’ Day”.
On the set of BFMTV, Bruno Le Maire for his part deplored what he considers to be an attack on the “fundamental freedom” to move. “The time for negotiation has passed. There was a negotiation, there was an agreement, that means that force must remain with the majority vote”, sighed the Minister of the Economy.
