This Sunday, March 26, 2023, the metropolitan territory saw bad weather darken the sky in several regions. This Tuesday, temperatures have dropped drastically throughout France, and in some departments the thermometer displays well below 0°C. The morning frosts were therefore in order: beware of motorists head-in-the-air! The origin of this cold snap is in a depression circulating around the British Isles, as reported by The Weather Channel.
While the frosty morning is particularly felt in the east of the country, the territories that extend south of the Garonne will see a thaw in temperatures this Tuesday afternoon. A trend that will be confirmed and accentuated the next day, namely Wednesday, March 29, during which it will be very hot in places.
On the morning of Wednesday March 29, the disturbed flow from the British Isles will descend towards the neighboring regions of the English Channel, which will result in a few drops of rain as well as a stronger wind in these territories. As for the rest of France, a southerly wind will bring great mildness. In some regions, especially south of the Garonne, peaks of 25 to 28°C will probably be reached.
For the very first time this year, the thermometer could even come close to the 20°C mark in the capital! This thaw will however be short-lived: indeed, the day of Thursday will see a return of thunderstorms, especially in the Pyrenees. In the meantime, enjoy the sun, and find below the 33 departments in which the temperature will feel particularly high tomorrow!
