A new social conflict disrupts supplies at gas stations. Several depots are temporarily paralyzed by the CGT-Chemistry in order to oppose the pension reform. Five months after the strikes in French refineries, blockages have once again intensified in no less than 200 depots.

The day after the eleventh day of mobilization against the pension reform, the strikers continue their fight. This week was however under the sign of meetings. Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne had met the majority of union representatives: Sophie Binet, the new president of the CGT and Laurent Berger, secretary general of the CFDT were present at Matignon. When they left this consultation, the trade unionists described this meeting as a “failure” according to France 24. This is why the strikes have once again been renewed.
