(Boston) Brandon Montour scored twice and the Florida Panthers scored four goals in the third period to beat the Boston Bruins 6-3 on Wednesday night to hand the Bruins their first loss in 10 games.
The best regular season team in the NHL last season, the Panthers tied the series 1-1.
They will play at home in games three and four on Friday and Sunday.
Game 5 is Wednesday in Boston.
Montour rattled the net 22 seconds into the third period to break the tie 2-2.
Carter Verhaeghe added an insurance goal and then Montour scored again halfway through the engagement.
Eetu Luostarinen sealed the win with an empty net goal.
Alex Lyon stopped 34 shots. Sam Bennett and Eric Staal also scored for the Panthers, who looked overwhelmed in a 3-1 Game 1 loss.
Brad Marchand scored shorthanded for the Bruins.
Tyler Bertuzzi and Taylor Hall were the other scorers, while Linus Ullmark made 24 saves.
