(NY) New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge has been placed on injured reserve with right hip pain, joining Giancarlo Stanton, Harrison Bader and third baseman Josh Donaldson.
The Yankees made the announcement before the start of Monday night’s series against the Cleveland Guardians. The decision is retroactive to Friday.
Judge was injured last Wednesday when he landed hard in a head-first slide against the Minnesota Twins on his 31st birthday. He stayed in the game and started Thursday against the Texas Rangers, then left the game in the fourth inning after striking out twice.
