An annual event that brought together stars from all over the world. On May 1, 2023, the Met Gala fashion event took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. An evening that paid tribute to the mythical Karl Lagerfeld, couturier of the famous Chanel house until his death in 2019.
The French actress Line Renaud also wanted to salute this exhibition via a publication shared on her Instagram account where she appears all smiles alongside the stylist. “I am so happy that we are celebrating Karl Lagerfeld at the Met Gala tonight. An exceptional man, of extraordinary genius, fascinating, multi-faceted visionary, his absolute creativity will live forever”, she wrote in the caption of its publication.
On the Met Gala red carpet, French-speaking and international celebrities paraded in daring, provocative, sexy, but above all glamorous outfits. This was particularly the case of the Belgian singer Angèle who appeared in a black Chanel dress that suited her perfectly. For the occasion, actress Marion Cotillard also wore a dress from the same fashion house. Held in which she had already shone in 2008 on the occasion of the British ceremony of the BAFTA Awards.
Other stars created the surprise, like the singer Jared Leto who appeared in a costume bearing the image of Choupette, the beloved cat of Karl Lagerfeld, heir to his fortune. “She has her own small fortune, she’s an heiress: if something happens to me, the person who will take care of her will not be in misery. The money from the ads where she appears has been set aside for her,” said Karl Lagerfeld on Marc-Olivier Fogiel’s Le Divan show in 2015.
