Sonia Mabrouk’s career began nearly 20 years ago. Coming from a wealthy Tunisian family where politics plays an important role, this graduate of a business school in Carthage and a DEA at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University in Paris embarked on journalism under the leadership of Franco-Tunisian reporter Béchir Ben Yahmed.
For three years, Sonia Mabrouk officiated in the editorial staff of the weekly Jeune Afrique. In 2008, her meeting with journalist Jean-Pierre Elkabbach allowed her to join the Public Senate channel, where she became the first Tunisian to present the newspaper on French television. After obtaining French nationality in 2010, her career took another turn where she headed towards radio.
In 2013, Sonia Mabrouk arrived on Europe 1 where she hosts the Débat des Grandes Voix on the midday segment. Since then, the forties journalist would have found love again this year. According to Paris Match magazine, Sonia Mabrouk is in a relationship with singer Pascal Obispo. They were notably seen in Cap Ferret, the haven of peace of the famous artist. “Pascal Obispo has everything romantic that cultivates the sweetness of melodies. In common, they have this kind of armor that makes them difficult to pin down, and the love of the words with which they play”, relates the magazine people.
