Product recalls are commonplace in supermarkets. Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli or even Salmonella, certain dangerous bacteria can sometimes be the cause of these procedures.
Every day, the new products concerned are put online on the government website Rappel Conso. The site of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Digital and Industrial Sovereignty describes it as “the single public site where professionals declare the products subject to a recall and where consumers can find the exhaustive list, reliable and up-to-date information on recalled hazardous products”.
Although procedures of this type concerning food products are generally the most shared, all types of goods may be concerned. Thus, recall sheets can involve means of transport such as cars, motorcycles, bicycles or scooters, but also other types of non-food products. Toys, hygiene products, clothing, jewelry, sports equipment or household appliances may also be included on this web page.
Sometimes scandals explode with certain foods. This was the case, for example, with the Buitoni brand’s Fraîch’Up pizzas in 2022. This week, a number of edible products are being recalled from stores for various reasons.
If you are in possession of one of them, it is advisable to bring it back to the point of sale to obtain an exchange or a refund. Discover the list of foods recalled during the week of May 30 in our slideshow.
