A format licensing deal has been struck by Quebec-based Amuz Distribution and French giant Gaumont to create a Spanish version of Série Noire.
Gaumont has obtained the production rights to a Spanish version of this comedy created by Jean-François Rivard and François Létourneau almost 10 years ago. This is the first international sale of the popular series produced by Productions Casablanca and broadcast on Radio-Canada from 2014 to 2016.
Série noire starred François Létourneau and Vincent-Guillaume Otis in the roles of screenwriters Denis and Patrick, forced to write a sequel to their implausible legal and police series The Law of Justice with the aim of making it as realistic as possible. .
The Spanish version will be produced by Gaumont’s Latin American team based in Los Angeles.
