(Zandvoort) Dane Kevin Magnussen and German Nico Hülkenberg will continue to drive Haas single-seaters in the 2024 Formula 1 season, the American team announced Thursday in a press release published on the sidelines of the Dutch GP.

“It can be said without a shadow of a doubt that we have had a very reliable driver line-up this season and so we had no reason to change for the future,” explained the spirited Guenther Steiner, boss of the team based in North Carolina.

Magnussen (30) will therefore play a seventh season under the colors of Haas, which he joined in 2017 after stints at McLaren and Renault. Not retained by the American team for the 2021 season, he returned there the following year.

The Dane has twice finished in the points this year taking tenth place in Saudi Arabia and Miami.

The experienced Hülkenberg (36), who found a seat in 2023 after three years as a reserve driver at Aston Martin, will therefore compete in his 11th season in the premier category of motorsport.

This year, the German is achieving prowess in qualifying at the wheel of one of the worst single-seaters on the grid since he has reached Q3, the last part of qualifying, six times in 12 races.

He finished once in the points with a seventh place finish in Australia and also finished sixth in the sprint in Austria.
