Every week, La Presse sifts through the TV offerings to identify four titles to watch.

We saw it coming from afar: The fan war is The Fury, around twenty years later, in a slightly remixed version. Led by comedian Phil Roy, this new musical quiz brings together 16 personalities who (supposedly) know about music. In each show, four of them try to reach the next round by competing in different games, such as Nouveau genre (replays), Karaoke hole (lyrics are missing) and Text me a song (we must identify the title of a success from a series of emoticons). Without matching the frenzy of Véronique Cloutier’s late television show, the premiere entertains with Kim Lizotte, Jean-Philippe Perras, Varda Étienne and Pier-Luc Funk at the pitons.

Offered on ICI Tou.tv Extra since February, the fourth season of Plan B was not submitted to the Gémeaux awards, which will be broadcast next Sunday. The producers preferred to wait for the television broadcast, which begins this week. Because we would certainly have decried his lack of selections, particularly for Pier-Luc Funk, shockingly true in the role of Jessy, a young delinquent in survival mode, but above all in search of redemption after leaving prison. Twist this year: while during the first three seasons, the main characters played by Louis Morissette, Sophie Lorain and Anne-Élisabeth Bossé (who we see in the first episode) chose to go back in time, Jessy is not there. Nothing…

After diving into the heart of the problematic dynamics of pre-existing couples, the documentary series returns to its original formula, in which relationship support expert Louise Sigouin guides four singles who wish to find love, while Emily Bégin and Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge comment. This season, we will follow Marie-Josée, a 48-year-old teacher who blames herself for having “broken up her family” by leaving her partner, Sam, a “good guy” accustomed to romantic failures, Alexandre, a president of company, and Sylvain, a very sensitive person. Highlight of the first episode: love at first sight, a real, immediate and mutual. The kind that will have you saying loud and clear in front of your screen, “Get yourself a room!” »

In this same section, last January, when Télé-Québec tested the water temperature by presenting a special program with Martin Matte, we wrote: “We do not know what fate will be reserved for the concept developed by Urbania, but we know that we would like it to know a sequel. » The public broadcaster granted our wish by ordering a full season of the television event, which offers “reverse” interviews. In each episode, a guest answers, in turn, questions from four surprise hosts, whom he knows or not. This week, Mélissa Bédard is interviewed by François Lambert, Sarahmée, Louise Deschâtelets and Annie Villeneuve. Eric Bruneau and Anne Dorval will follow.
