Several La Presse journalists are participating in the Montreal Book Fair this year. Our columnists Isabelle Hachey (for her collection of reports and chronicles Where beats the heart of the world) and Mario Girard (for his biography of Clémence DesRochers) will participate in signing sessions at the Palais des congrès during the Salon, as will our cartoonist Serge Chapleau and our journalists Katia Gagnon (author of Lie Detector – The fascinating life of Jacques Landry, virtuoso of interrogation), Ariane Lacoursière (for Jean-Pierre Ménard – The Missionary of Law) and Silvia Galipeau (for her collection Derrière the door – 50 intimate, sexual and plural stories). Our columnist Marc Cassivi will sign his collection Nos sons and will also participate in a round table on fatherhood this Sunday with Akim Gagnon and Simon Brousseau (moderated by Catherine Voyer-Léger). Our regular collaborators Catherine Perrin (for the essay Living in Beauty, co-written with the architect Pierre Thibault) and Boucar Diouf (for Adventures and Wisdoms of the Village of Zamboki – What Life Owes to Laughter) will also sign their books on site, just like Nathalie Petrowski (author of a story about the life of her mother Minou). Three tandems of journalists and collaborators will participate in one-on-one meetings at the La Presse café (kiosk 101): Laïla Maalouf will talk with Chantal Guy about the prosperous literary season of Quebecers in France this Thursday at noon, Nathalie Collard will talk about the new section Dialogue with Rafaële Germain this Friday at noon and Marc Cassivi will discuss adaptations of books to the screen with Manon Dumais this Sunday at 3 p.m.
