A year ago almost to the day, Gino Chouinard announced that he would leave the host of Salut Bonjour in June 2024. This Tuesday on the show, he finally revealed the identity of his successor: Ève-Marie Lortie .
The one who has hosted Salut-Bonjour weekend for 12 years will take orders during the week from fall 2024.
“She’s the perfect person to take over because Hi Hello, she has it tattooed on her heart pretty much,” said Gino Chouinard when welcoming his replacement to his set Tuesday morning.
While her entire future team was gathered around her, Ève-Marie Lortie indicated that she “deeply hoped for this news”. She said she wrote her bosses a letter of intent a few weeks after the announcement of Gino Chouinard’s departure to express her interest in the position.
The host who has been in the world of Salut Bonjour for around twenty years learned last Thursday that she will be the first woman to host the daily weekday show.
