Workleap has officially started shopping. Building on the 125 million invested by the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec last summer, the Montreal company will announce this Wednesday the acquisition of Pingboard, based in Austin, Texas.

This software company specializing in human resources has around thirty employees, the majority of whom will join Workleap, formerly GSoft. However, the management team will be replaced and only the founder and vice-president of technology, Robert Eanes, remains in position. He will become vice president of product at Workleap.

“We are very happy to join the Workleap team,” Mr. Eanes said in a press release. We share the same ambition to improve the way people work, and we look forward to joining the team to continue our mission of creating software that solves real problems and helps companies improve their employee experience. »

Pingboard has some 2,000 enterprise customers with 900,000 employees worldwide, according to its website. His specialty is the development of company organization charts and employee directories. The company and its software will be fully integrated into Workleap. The amount of the transaction has not been disclosed.

“We are very happy to end the year with this acquisition, to reach this outcome with this great American company which has joined us,” said Simon De Baene, CEO and co-founder of Workleap, in an interview. Pingboard was one of the companies in which there was the greatest interest and which corresponded to the strategy of the Montreal company.

“They became known for the richness of their organizational chart, it’s something extremely visual to understand the dynamics in the company who works in which team, how the company is structured. They do a lot of things, a lot of things that we do too. »

After making its first acquisition on February 8 and changing its name, Workleap wants to “move up a gear” by banking in particular on the investment of 125 million from the Caisse. “We are in the process of bringing all of our products into the same unified experience. »

The addition of a platform like that of Pingboard is particularly interesting as teleworking is now a well-established reality, he notes.

“A lot of people are working remotely, in hybrid mode. We find ourselves seeing our organization less, we understand it less well, it is not always easy to understand how a company is structured, what the dynamics of the company are. Having this visual layer enriches Workleap. »

Workleap has around 20,000 customers and 400 employees. The company founded in 2006 specializes in software used in business such as Sharegate, Officevibe and Talentscope.
