Human resources manager Jochen Wallisch is leaving Siemens AG on June 1st. The separation was preceded by a legal dispute between his wife and the company.
Siemens wanted to throw the manager out despite her pregnancy and parental leave. This is reported by “Bild am Sonntag”, citing files from the government of Upper Bavaria, which the paper was able to see.
A company spokesman confirmed to “Bild am Sonntag”: “Jochen Wallisch, Head of Industrial Relations and Employment Conditions, has decided at his own request to leave Siemens on June 1, 2024.” He wants to dedicate himself to “new tasks outside the company.”
According to the newspaper’s research, the background to the departure of the top manager (formerly Eurowings, Lufthansa) is a compliance investigation against the manager’s wife in order to force her out of the group during her pregnancy or during parental leave. Labor courts were unable to identify any breaches of duty in the allegations.
