Meta’s upcoming lower cost version of the Quest 3 has been leaked, revealing that it will be named Quest 3S. The leak was spotted on multiple official Quest store pages, which also mention other upcoming devices like Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 2.
The leak was further confirmed by a screenshot from the Alo Moves XR app, indicating that Quest 3S will be a part of Meta’s VR headset lineup. This new device is expected to offer a more affordable alternative to the Quest 3, potentially replacing the popular Quest 2.
Reports suggest that Quest 3S will feature older lens technology to reduce costs while still delivering a similar experience to the Quest 3. The headset is also rumored to be powered by the XR2 Gen 2 processor, promising to run VR content at a high quality level similar to its higher-end counterpart.
