T20 World Cup 2024 Warm-Up Matches Schedule, Live Streaming Details, and Match Timings Revealed
The warm-up matches for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 have kicked off, setting the stage for an exciting tournament. The matches started on May 27 with Canada securing a victory against Nepal in the opening fixture at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas.
A total of sixteen warm-up matches will be played before the official start of the tournament. The opening match will see co-hosts the United States facing off against Canada in Texas.
The warm-up fixtures will take place at various venues including the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago. India is scheduled to play a single warm-up match against Bangladesh at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, before taking on Pakistan during the T20 World Cup in June.
Pakistan has opted out of playing any warm-up matches, citing their recent 9 T20Is as sufficient preparation for the World Cup. The warm-up fixtures will consist of 20 overs per side and will not have international T20 status, allowing teams to field all members of their 15-player squads.
