Girls Aloud Fan Tries to Yank Cheryl Off Stage During Comeback Tour
Girls Aloud fans were left in shock as an excited concert-goer almost “yanked Cheryl off the stage” leaving the pop star shaken. The girl group – which also features Nicola Roberts, 38, Nadine Coyle, 42, and Kimberley Walsh, 38 – kicked off their comeback tour last month.
As Cheryl performed at the Newcastle arena, a fan tried to yank her from the stage, causing security to rush in and grab hold of the singer before she fell into the crowd. The shocked singer was saved from falling off the stage by a member of security staff.
The incident occurred during their performance at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, where an overzealous fan nearly pulled Cheryl from the runway at the center of the Girls Aloud stage. Despite the scare, the band has been enjoying a successful reunion tour, paying tribute to their late bandmate Sarah Harding along the way.
During their opening show in Dublin, Girls Aloud had fans in tears as they honored Sarah with emotional tributes and performances. They sang their 2008 single “The Promise” with Sarah’s verse and covered the Pretenders hit “I’ll Stand By You,” bringing fans to tears.
The reunion tour aims to celebrate the legacy of Girls Aloud and pay tribute to Sarah Harding, who passed away in 2021. The band members are eager to show their children what they became famous for and give their fans a memorable experience on stage.
Girls Aloud, who have been rehearsing for five weeks, continue their tour across the UK, with a special headline performance at Brighton Pride in August. The reunited pop group has put together a set list of all their biggest hits, bringing back memories for fans of the noughties era.
