Levi, the three-year-old son of rodeo star Spencer Wright, fell into a river and was rescued with serious injuries. As the Daily Mail reports, the boy had been playing with his toy tractor when he fell into the water. His mother Kallie Wright jumped after him, but was unable to save him.
As RTL reports, the little boy fell into a coma after the serious accident and was declared brain dead. In an unlikely turn of events, however, Levi suddenly woke up and showed signs of consciousness. A wave of hope swept through the family. FOCUS Online also reported. But the joy was short-lived. A few hours later, an MRI scan showed irreparable brain damage.
Faced with a hopeless situation, Kallie and her husband Spencer decided to take Levi off life support. They felt Levi had given them enough time to come to terms with his impending death. “Now we see that he wanted to give us time to find our peace in letting him go,” she shared the family’s tragic decision on Facebook.
