Two dead and two seriously injured – that is the result of a serious car accident in northwest Mecklenburg.
The car, in which four senior citizens were traveling, crashed into a tree, police reported. Two 71-year-old women who were sitting in the back seat were so badly injured by the impact that they died at the scene. The 76-year-old driver and the 80-year-old passenger were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The 76-year-old reportedly drove off the L10 near Wismar between Züsow and Goldberg on Wednesday afternoon. The cause was still unclear. Three rescue helicopters were deployed.
