(Montreal) The body of the driver of the vehicle which was submerged in the waters of the Rivière des Prairies has been found, announced Wednesday evening the Police Service of the City of Montreal (SPVM)

The remains were located in the water by police officers from the nautical module during their patrol of the banks of the Île-de-la-Visitation nature park, located in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

Investigators went to the scene and the deceased was identified as the driver sought since Sunday morning. Around 4:50 a.m., the vehicle he was driving ended up in the Rivière des Prairies.

The SPVM specifies that no clue surrounding this death allows investigators to believe that it was a criminal event. The investigation is continuing.
