A man is said to have threatened two schoolgirls with a weapon near a school in Kehl (Ortenaukreis) and robbed them of a mobile phone and cash.
The 23-year-old was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated robbery, police announced on Friday. He was arrested by officers after the alleged crime on Wednesday.
The man reportedly acted aggressively towards the two 18- and 22-year-old schoolgirls. There were reportedly physical altercations and a weapon was pointed at them. A blank-firing pistol was confiscated when the man was arrested. The schoolgirls were not injured.
