The Strangers: Chapter 1 Coming to Home Screens Soon
Lionsgate has announced that horror fans will soon be able to watch The Strangers: Chapter 1 from the comfort of their own homes. The film, directed by Renny Harlin, will be available for purchase on various digital platforms starting Friday, June 7.
For those who may have missed the opportunity to catch the movie in theaters, this is a chance to experience the terror that started it all. The Strangers: Chapter 1 follows a young couple, played by Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez, as they encounter three masked strangers in an isolated cabin.
Fans of physical media can also look forward to the release of Chapter 1 on Blu-ray later this year. Pre-order links for 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD copies are already available on the film’s official website, with options to purchase from retailers like Amazon and Walmart.
Moreover, this is just the beginning of a new trilogy in The Strangers franchise, as Harlin has directed all three installments simultaneously. While Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 do not have set release dates yet, fans can expect them to arrive in the near future.
In the meantime, Harlin is gearing up for his next project, a shark-based horror film titled Deep Water. As the director’s focus shifts, audiences can anticipate a potential super cut of all three Strangers films running 4.5 hours in length.
Stay tuned for more updates on The Strangers: Chapter 1 and its upcoming sequels, and get ready to bring the terror home this weekend.
