Annecy Animation Festival Welcomes ‘Transformers One’ with Star-Studded Cast

Transformers One made a splash at the Annecy Animation Festival, kicking off the event with laughs and cheers from the audience. Director Josh Cooley and Paramount Animation president Ramsey Naito introduced the crowd to a preview of the upcoming film in Annecy, France. The star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and Brian Tyree Henry, brought their characters to life in this highly anticipated animated project.

Cooley expressed his excitement for the movie, which is set to hit theaters on Sept. 20, highlighting the talent and nostalgia that went into its making. He thanked the team of animators and CG artists for their exceptional work, as well as Industrial Light & Magic for their contributions to the feature. The audience was treated to a sneak peek of Transformers One, with several moments drawing applause and laughter throughout the screening.

The film delves into the origin story of the iconic Transformers characters Optimus Prime and Megatron, exploring their transition from friends to foes. Hemsworth voices Orion Pax, while Johansson portrays Elita-1 and Key lends his voice to B-127. The trailer for the movie was unveiled in April, promising fans a fresh perspective on Optimus Prime’s character.

Transformers One, a collaboration between Paramount Animation, Hasbro Entertainment, and New Republic Pictures, marks the franchise’s return to animated theatrical releases after more than three decades. With a stellar cast and a compelling storyline, the film is poised to captivate audiences with its unique take on the beloved Transformers universe.
