(Toronto) The Toronto Blue Jays acquired the services of right-handed pitcher Braydon Fisher from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday in exchange for utility player Cavan Biggio and financial considerations.

Fisher, 23, was 2-1 with a 5.68 ERA in five appearances during combined stints with AA Tulsa and AAA Oklahoma City. He also gave up 15 walks and had 30 strikeouts.

Biggio, 29, appeared in 44 games with Toronto in 2024 before the Blue Jays designated him for assignment last Friday. His batting average was .200 with six extra-base hits and nine RBIs.

The Blue Jays selected Biggio in the fifth round of the 2016 first-year draft.

He began his major league career in 2019 and placed fifth in the American League Rookie of the Year voting that season.

In 490 career games in a Blue Jays uniform, Biggio posted an overall batting average of .227, with 77 doubles, four triples, 48 ​​home runs and 176 RBIs.
