Welcome to the Cadets of the Sûreté du Québec

The MRC de Montcalm is thrilled to once again participate in the Cadet program of the Sûreté du Québec this year. This summer, eight cadets will be traveling across the territory from June 3rd to August 10th, with some extending their mission until September 30th in the following municipalities:

– Ville de Saint-Lin-Laurentides / Municipalité de Saint-Jacques / Municipalité de Saint-Esprit
– Municipalité de Saint-Alexis / Municipalité de Saint-Calixte / Municipalité de Sainte-Julienne
– Municipalité de Saint-Roch-de-l’Achigan

This morning, we had the opportunity to meet these young cadets at our administrative offices. They are:
– Beatrice Dussault / May Sylvestre / Samuel Panagiotidis / Emma Narbonne
– Tristan Laniel / Tania Tammaro-Mimeault / Alec Hughes / Émilie Pasquier

Sergeant Louis-Philippe Massé is coordinating the cadet program at the Saint-Lin-Laurentides station. Thanks to his leadership, the entire team will benefit from strong support and guidance in carrying out their duties. The cadets will be responsible for various tasks and activities in the following areas:

– Ensuring presence and surveillance on foot or by bike, especially in neighborhoods and parks
– Participating in prevention programs in community relations
– Responding to simple information requests (citizen reception at the station)
– Conducting surveillance and prevention at sports, cultural, popular, or commercial events
– Participating in activities to promote the Sûreté du Québec, such as job fairs and exhibitions
– Meeting partners, including firefighters, paramedics, hospital staff, wildlife conservation officers, and community organizations

We thank them for choosing the MRC de Montcalm for their assignment and wish them a wonderful summer season.
