A dead person was found after a fire in an apartment building in Cottbus. The dead person was in the apartment where the fire had broken out, a police spokesman said. Two firefighters were also injured during the firefighting operations. After the firefighting operations were completed on Friday afternoon, the police began to secure evidence. As the police spokesman announced, the streets around the building in Cottbus’s city center were closed off over a wide area. Drivers were asked to avoid the entire city center.
