A 70-year-old man picked up a wallet and 1300 euros in cash in Zweibrücken, Rhineland-Palatinate, and brought it to the police
Around midday on Friday, a 54-year-old driver left his wallet on the roof of his car as he drove off, police said on Saturday. The wallet then landed on the road – the large amount of cash was scattered across the street when it fell.
“Instead of illegally pocketing the money, the 70-year-old showed civil courage, collected the banknotes and brought them to the police station,” praised the police. The officers were able to track down the owner. “He was overjoyed and picked up his valuables from the police.”
