An England fan has converted a van and wants to travel with Kane, Bellingham and Co. to the European Championships in Germany. But football fans also have to obey German traffic rules.

Football fan Will Robey from England has spent the past year converting an old van into a luxury motorhome to support the English team at Euro 2024 in Germany, reports the Daily Mail.

The former salesman spent a total of £12,000 (around €14,000) on the van. The Englishman’s fan bus is equipped with a double bed, a kitchenette and a large projector. The converted Fiat Ducato is called “Mary” by its owner and also has a refrigerator so that the beer is always well chilled for the games.

Robey, who has a fan base of 285,000 subscribers from around the world on his YouTube channel Will’s Whereabouts, will keep a video diary of his Euro tour and upload regular updates. “I’ve never watched England away from home at a major tournament, let alone camped in a van on the way, but it’s going to be an incredible experience,” Robey told the Daily Mail.

His first destination is Gelsenkirchen, because the Three Lions will play their first European Championship match against Serbia in the Veltins Arena on Sunday evening at 9 p.m.

During his tour of Germany, however, the England fan will have to be careful not to break the traffic rules. Despite the euphoria, fans must also abide by the rules of the road, reports the “Westfälische Anzeiger”. For example, unnecessary honking will result in a ten euro fine. If too many fans travel in a fan bus, they can expect a 25 euro fine. Fan paraphernalia must also be attached to the car or van in accordance with the rules. It must not affect traffic or safety.

After allegedly knocking over an elderly person in Schliersee, Bavaria, a man attacked an officer with a knife who wanted to arrest him, according to police.

A father is travelling with his son to the 2024 European Championships in Germany. In a curious email, the Scot informs his child’s school – and tells them when they can expect his return.
