A tragic accident occurred in Schwandorf, Bavaria, on the night of Tuesday. Two cars collided head-on. A seven-year-old boy died and five people were in critical condition.

The accident occurred on state road 2151 between Neunburg vorm Wald and Schwarzenfeld, both in the Schwandorf district. According to initial findings, the driver of a Ford drove into the oncoming lane on a bend and the driver of the other car was unable to avoid him.

She had a passenger and three children and teenagers in the car. A seven-year-old boy died shortly after the accident; resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

According to Bild, the Ford driver and the four other passengers in the second car are still in critical condition. It is still unclear how the deceased boy is related to the other people in the car. The police are investigating.
