(Miami) American rapper Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday in Miami Beach, Florida, for disturbing the peace while he was drunk, according to the report of his arrest.
The 33-year-old singer, real name Jacques Bermon Webster II, was arrested at 1:17 a.m.
According to police reports, Travis Scott was yelling at the occupants of a yacht in the Port of Miami Beach. Alerted, law enforcement officers went to the scene and repeatedly asked him to leave.
After leaving the port, Travis Scott returned five minutes later and began yelling at the boat’s occupants again. When arrested, the rapper admitted that he had drunk alcohol and justified himself by saying “it’s Miami,” according to the police report.
Travis Scott became known with his first album, Rodeo, in 2015. Since then, the Houston native has become a figure in American rap and has released four other albums, including the hit Astroworld (2018).
He has a boy and a girl with his ex-partner, the American influencer Kylie Jenner.
