After having developed a tool allowing old bricks to be reused, the company Maçonnerie Gratton is looking for other avenues of innovation.

This time, it is through a new partnership, in this case with Bisson Expert, that building professionals want to make the walls move.

The idea is to propose the coupling, upstream, of the evaluation and execution of work on the foundations and that on the masonry.

Indeed, it is common for an intervention on the foundations to cause damage to the masonry, if the walls have not been stabilized beforehand.

Grouped under the Fondabrique brand, the two entrepreneurs estimate that savings of 10% to 20%, as well as time savings of 25% to 30%, could be obtained by planning these two operations from the start, in addition to limiting the risk of financial surprises.

“Too often, foundation problems risk damaging the masonry and the work results in huge unforeseen costs. In the majority of cases, all of this could have easily been avoided if the assessment had been complete from the start,” says Tommy Bouillon, president of Maçonnerie Gratton and Fondabrique, which he instigated.
