Three men have been arrested in Frankfurt am Main who are said to have collected information on a person from Ukraine for a foreign secret service in Germany. In June, they scouted out a cafĂ© in Frankfurt am Main where their target was supposed to be, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office in Karlsruhe announced on Friday. The three accused, who come from Armenia, Russia and Ukraine, are in custody.

According to the information, they were provisionally arrested on Wednesday by forces from the Hessian State Office of Criminal Investigation and brought before the investigating judge of the Federal Court of Justice on Thursday, who issued the arrest warrants. The names of the accused were given as Robert A., Vardges I. and Arman S.

The accused are strongly suspected of having worked for a foreign secret service.
