A 56-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision that occurred at 5 p.m. in the Ahuntsic neighborhood.

911 received several calls regarding a collision that occurred at 5 p.m. between a motorcyclist and a vehicle at the corner of Papineau and Prieur streets, in the Ahuntsic district.

The driver of the motorcycle was quickly transported to a hospital. The man, aged 56, suffered a head trauma, specifies the public relations officer for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Véronique Dubuc. According to medical authorities, his life is in danger.

The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old man, suffered no injuries.

The SPVM indicates that its investigators and experts will try to establish the exact circumstances of this collision. “It’s a long-term job,” underlines Véronique Dubuc, specifying that the exact circumstances will not be known today.
