A Spanish-Portuguese end-time church is selling “heavenly property,” which is causing controversy. It is not the only bizarre offer from the religious community.

According to the news portal “The Shade Borough”, a Spanish-Portuguese end-time church is causing a stir on the Internet after a pastor made thousands of dollars by selling land in heaven. The price per square meter is 100 dollars, around 94 euros (payable with all common secular means of payment). Many believers have already snapped up the offer.

“The Shade Borough” describes the pastor’s argument as follows: God himself suggested to him in a meeting in 2017 that he should get into the heavenly real estate business. A commentator on X, formerly Twitter, therefore called him a “false prophet.”

It is not known whether the design of the ad was also a topic of discussion during the alleged encounter. It was not just the cheap-looking design that caused laughter on the Internet. The various payment methods also caused surprise.

The news portal points out that the pastor had previously been caught engaging in fraudulent practices. He is known for financial problems and questionable expenses and is said to have failed to provide receipts for donations of over 2.2 million euros.

Another point of criticism from more worldly users is the risk that comes with buying heavenly land. After all, buyers do not know whether they will actually be able to use their land after death.

A document that bears the same logo as the property advert provides a solution: a “salvation certificate” valid for two years was available on the now-defunct website of the Endzeitkirche for just under 1900 euros.

The VIP version, which is valid for eternity, is available for around 9,350 euros. As the website “queer.de” reports, the end-time church offers other strange certificates. For 375 euros, a “certificate for heterosexuality” is offered, which is supposed to bring “the gift of gay salvation” for five years.
