A watercraft and a river shuttle collided this Thursday afternoon on the St. Lawrence River, injuring nine people.
The accident apparently happened around 3:30 p.m. on the river near Île Charron. According to initial information obtained by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), a boat-type vessel collided with a river shuttle carrying around forty people.
Among the passengers on the shuttle, nine were transported to the hospital for minor injuries. We do not fear for their lives.
The other boat was located by the police and an individual is currently being encountered by the police.
The SQ dispatched a reconstructionist to the scene to understand the causes and circumstances of this event.
