The car crash that took the life of Minnesota Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson, along with two of his high school teammates, has shocked many. Photos of the Maryland crash show the maroon Dodge Charger they were in completely destroyed. The car, which was seen on a tow truck, is almost unrecognizable, flattened in the back and with the rear detached from the rest of the body.

Maryland State Police are investigating the crash that occurred in Upper Marlboro. The crash left Jackson, Isaiah Hazel, and Anthony Lytton Jr. dead. Hazel, who was driving the Dodge Charger, and Jackson were found dead at the scene, while Lytton was pronounced dead at the hospital. The accident took place after 3:14 a.m. Saturday, involving three vehicles – a silver Infinity Q50, the Dodge Charger, and a Chevy Impala.

Police say the driver of the Infinity Q50, Cori Clingman, attempted to change lanes at a high speed, striking the Dodge Charger and then the Chevrolet Impala. The Charger then hit multiple tree stumps before coming to a stop. Clingman’s vehicle had two other passengers who were unharmed, while the Impala driver refused medical attention.

Investigators suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the crash, though they did not specify which driver. The Vikings released a statement confirming Jackson’s passing. Coach Kevin O’Connell expressed his devastation at the news, highlighting Jackson’s energy, confidence, and desire to be the best person he could be.

Hazel and Lytton both had college football experience, with Hazel playing at Maryland and Charlotte, and Lytton at Florida State and Penn State. This tragic event serves as a reminder of the importance of safe driving and the devastating consequences of accidents.
