FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Hollywood actor Kevin James, known for his role in “King of Queens,” is gearing up to play the legendary golfer and Arkansas native, John Daly, in an upcoming limited series. This exciting development was reported by Deadline.
The series, which will be produced by Village Roadshow, will have Gary Valentine, Rory Rosegarten, and David Spielgelman as executive producers. John Daly, a renowned figure in the golfing world, clinched the PGA Championship in 1991 and the Open Championship in 1995. He also participated in the Masters tournament a dozen times between 1992 and 2006, achieving a notable third-place tie in 1993. His contributions to sports were recognized when he was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
Before embarking on his professional golfing career in 1987, Daly spent three years at the University of Arkansas. In addition to his role in “King of Queens,” Kevin James is a familiar face in Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison productions such as “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry,” “Grown Ups,” and “Paul Blart Mall Cop.”
